Refund policy

30-DAY MANUFACTURER WARRANTY:

We offer a 30-day manufacturer return/replacement for defects, damage, malfunction on new, out-of-box products only

COVERAGE:

  • Bastion ink cartridge damaged/flow issues. 
  • Surface damage such as scratches, dents, abrasion, discoloring.
  • Spring is bent or missing.  
  • Bolt pin is bent / loose.
  • Clip or clip screws damaged or missing. 

 

WARRANTY VOIDS:

  • Loss or theft.
  • Unauthorized resale.
  • Accidental damage resulting in malfunction.  
  • Off-brand ink cartridge leakage or causing malfunction.
  • Product alterations (adding/removing components, coating application, etc.)
  • Product modifications (marking, removing, or altering surface in any way)
  • Replacement parts considered normal wear and tear.

LIFETIME WARRANTY

Coverage for product issues occurring past the 30-day manufacturer warranty:

Manufacturer defects affecting bolt-action function involving bolt shaft and bolt pin.

WARRANTY VOIDS:

*Loss / theft.

*Standard wear and tear of replacement parts: ink cartridge, o-ring, spring, screw, clip, cone, or bolt pin.

*Unauthorized resale, counterfeit parts, improper disassembly/reassembly, modifying/altering design and/or parts, using it in manner beyond its function.

*Ink cartridge/lead converter other that a Bastion brand cartridge or other foreign object is installed into the barrel and/or cone causing a jam or other malfunction.

*Breaks or damage caused from dropping, improper engraving/marking, exposure to excessive temperatures, pressure, chemicals, abrasives, etc.

*Surface wear/damage caused by storage methods: pants/coat pockets, backpacks, purses, glove boxes, especially against metal objects such as keys/loose change, in areas where temps fluctuate, in the metal rings of a notebook, etc., causing surface damage or debris to lodge into cone opening and/or bolt shaft opening. Color or surface changes due to storage methods is considered normal wear and tear. The is especially relevant for our anodized and poly-coated pens that are designed for grip, not protection.

WARRANTY CLAIM:

For physical damage, send clear pictures to support@bastionbolactionpen.com. Briefly describe specific malfunction of products, as there may be simple troubleshooting tips that you can apply to easily resolve the issue.  

Include the following information:
  • Full name used for order
  • Order number
  • Full shipping address 

    RETURNS:

    • 30-day manufacturer return/replacement policy for defects/damage/malfunction with new products only.
    • Returns for other reasons or outside the manufacturer warranty are not automatically replaced/refunded.
    • Returns require pre-authorization and proof of purchase.  Do not send return without pre-authorization.
    • Return To Sender (RTS) without pre-authorization are subject to a routing fee.
    • Return items must be undamaged, in the same new condition, and in original packaging.
    • There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted.
    • Bulk orders over 5 units may be subject to a restocking fee.

    Additional non-returnable items:

    • Digital gift cards
    • Downloadable software products
    • Health and personal care items
    • Notebooks with obvious signs of use
    • Any item not in its original condition is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

    Shipping

    Request authorization to return by emailing support@bastionboltactionpen.com.

    Do not send unauthorized returns to our facility, as they may not be tracked appropriately if not labeled correctly.

    You are responsible for return shipping costs outside the 30-day day manufacturer warranty deadline.  Shipping costs are non-refundable. 

    We highly recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance.  We are not liable for damage/loss of return by carrier service, which may impact eligibility for refund/replacement.

    Refunds (if applicable)

    Once return is received and inspected, we will notify you of refund approval/rejection.

    If you are approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original payment method.  Refunds typically clear accounts within 3-5 business days.

    Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

    • Check your bank account and contact your bank.
    • Check your credit statement and contact your credit card company.

    If you've taken above steps and see no refund posted after 7 business days, contact us at support@bastionboltactionpen.com.

    SALE ITEMS:

    Sale items are refundable on a case-by-case basis.  For example, liquidated or discontinued items are not returnable and therefore not available for refund under most circumstances. 

    EXCHANGES:

    We do not authorize exchanges.  We only replace items that are defective or damaged when new out of box within the 30-day policy.  Send notification of defect/damage along with clear pictures to support@bastionboltactionpen.com.  

    GIFTS:

    If you received a product as a gift, you will receive store credit for the return in the form of a digital gift card.  Please submit your return authorization request to support@bastionboltactionpen.com to receive further instruction.
