I collect pens of all different styles. Bastion makes the most solid and well machined bolt action style pens I've ever used! I've bought 10 pens now, and the 3 that I haven't given as gifts all rotate through my EDC lineup. I will say that my favorite to carry and use is the carbon fiber full size pen. The weight is just perfect in my opinion. It's a chunky and hefty pen with a super smooth bolt action, and it just feels great to pull it out of the pocket, click the action, and write. The 7 pens I've gifted have all been very well received, and 5 of the people that now own them use them daily! I will absolutely be back to order more when it gets closer to christmas, as I still have a few friends and co-workers that I think would love to have one in their collection!

Writes well. I really like the slim. Going to try to get used to the original. The colors of the aluminum are great.

I first saw a Bastion Bolt Action Pen at a client's site. They had the non-slim version and I was fascinated by the craftsmanship and the concept behind the pen. I have been a writing implement geek for years. First thing the client said when I asked about the pen was don't steal it. I laughed and told them not to worry. I ordered the Slim version of the pen they had that evening.

I instantly loved the feel when I held the pen. The smoothness of the writing was amazing. I am still somewhat old-school and like to write things instead of always typing them. I rarely find an affordable, exceptionally made pen that does not eventually disappoint over time. The slim version has a great feel, a weight that is not heavy, but you know you are holding something that is not cheap. If anyone is wondering, yes, the bolt action is something you will play with a lot when you first get the pen. It is inevitable and frankly quite satisfying. I also found that my hand does not tire as quickly when writing as I am not gripping the pen, but holding it, which makes writing much more enjoyable.

If you are someone who writes regularly and are on the fence, make the purchase. I think you will be quite happy you did.
