Titanium, 3X Set - Bolt Action Pen by Bastion®

I really like the titanium version of the Bastion Bolt Action pen. Fit and finish are nearly perfect. The seam between barrel and tip is invisible until you start unscrewing the tip. Clip is stiff and mounted securely to the barrel with two T-6 Torx screws. Refills are standard Parker G2 style refills, and will work with any refills that conform to the Parker G2 standard, to include Fisher Spacepen pressurized refills. The bolt action on mine is not as smooth as some of my other Bastion pens, but will “wear in” with use. It’s the only moving part in the pen, besides the refill, and will last a lifetime. The titanium body will get surface scratches and scuff marks, eventually; it’s a raw metal machined to a brushed finish. Short of falling into a wood chipper or hydraulic press, this pen will not deform enough to make it unusable. Titanium is lighter than zirconium, steel, brass, or copper, but heavier than aluminum versions of this pen.
If you like Parker G-2 style refills with oil-based ballpoint ink (and some water-based gel ink refills) in a pen that probably not even your 2-year old will outlive, this is your best option for a smooth bodied pen.
If you need a metal pen with more “grip”, or you prefer Pentel/Pilot/Sharpie/Uniball gel refills, try Tactile Turn’s who have machined metal pens in Pilot G-2, Parker G2, and Pilot G-2 Mini sizes (for higher cost). Karas Kustoms also has smooth bodied machined metal (and some machined engineered plastic) pens in Pilot and Parker sizes…and a “Modal” pen that can take both (with an optional adapter kit).

This is the best pen I’ve ever owned. Love the weight and feel. Gave one to my MIL who is an author and she loves it!
