Build: its a gorgeous pen made out of real titanium with a sturdy pocket clip and a really strong, crisp bolt action opening. The design looks amazing, love the aesthetics of the pen and the provided gel insert writes well enough, I'd prefer a finer tip so will be replacing this one.Writing: even though I spent extra for the full titanium expecting it to be light enough to use for long times I was sadly mistaken. It's very top heavy because of the bolt action mechanism and it becomes very slick once your hands start to sweat. Doesn't have any stippling or grip of any kind so it's far from comfortable.Value: it's an expensive pen, $80 for a pen seemed ridiculous to me but everyone in the EDC world raves about these so I figured I'd try it. Well it was an expensive experiment to say the least. It'll look great in my EDC pack and will be cool for signing my name or something short, but other than that it's far too heavy to be considered a practical pen. I'd literally grab a .50 cent Bic over this if I had to write anything more than 3 sentences.Verdict: to each their own, I spend money on things people consider ridiculous but seem totally logical to me. Is it worth the money? That's totally subjective, but for an average Joe, I'm dubious if they'd recommend this to their friends at this price for a pen.

I purchasd the 100% titanium version. I have absolutely no complaints about this pen. The machining is impeccable!  The seam of the 2 pieces just vanishes when screwed together. It's titanium from end to end. The bolt is strong and will have you fidgeting with it alot. The clip is strong and clips to a pocket easy and smooth. The construction of this pen is as solid as it gets! Uses a Parker style insert so it makes refilling the pen simple. The one that comes with it is bastion branded but performance is flawless. Smooth and no skipping. Ink doesn't smear. The pen is thick but not uncomfortable in the slightest. I included some comparison pictures with some common and well known edc pens. It is not much longer then your normal ball point pen. I would rate this pen high then 5 stars. For the money this pen can't be beat. I absolutely love it and if lost would absolutely buy another. I'm definitely a bastion customer for life now.

I bought one of these (the titanium model that is not painted) a year ago, and I never even tried the stock ink, because I was about to carry a premium pen so I wanted premium ink. I don't remember which ink I tried, but it was good. But back to the pen. The finish is very nice. It has some weight to it, which takes a little getting used to, but is very comfortable once you have used it a while. So much that normal pens feel strange now. I work in chemical plants and refineries (high voltage electrical work) and so I need something that not only looks and feels premium, but can take abuse also. And my biggest concern was the clip being able to stand up to my abuse, taking it in and out of my shirt pocket all day long. And I have to say the clip is just as strong as the pen body, and after a year, I have never bent or broken it. After a year there are some light scratches all over the pen body, but it doesn't really affect the look of it unless you look really close.The fit of the tip really impressed me. The tip screws off/on to replace the ink cartridge (or to fidget), and when it's screwed on you really can't even see the line between the pen body and the tip. It is a very close machined fit, and I think that is one of the reason I say the quality is so good.The bolt action is very fun to fidget with, and has plenty of spring tension without being difficult to actuate.I actually just lost my pen. I left it at a restaurant Sunday. And today (2 days later) I just ordered another one, exactly like it. I'm sure whoever found it will enjoy it as much as I did.Not only would I buy it again, I just did!Anytime I have ever let anyone use it, they always say how nice it is.Get off the fence and pick this up! It is more than worth the money!Also get a good refill. I ordered the fine tip Parker Space refill this time.

So I’ve had this pen for a little under a year… great pen! I was looking for something reliable and durable. I work in the transportation industry where I am regularly in and out of construction areas, etc. I dropped my pen a few days ago at a job. I was lucky enough to retrieve it a few days after and it still looked great! The tire marks in the vicinity shows it had been ran over multiple times by large semi trucks! Other than some surface scratches it looks good as new! Works amazing!!Thanks Bastion!

Honestly this one is a replacement because my first one was stolen!I’m pretty picky with pens and I’ve always wanted a well built bolt action pen, so I got one as a gift to myself, splurged on a nice one, and I was only more and more impressed with the quality.It writes really smooth, it’s nice and weighty, could be a downside if you like really light pens but I like the heft.The action is smooth and super satisfying to use, the clip is also nice and tight and well secured.I think one of my favorite things about this pen honestly is the machining, it came with an ink refill and it wasn’t until I was showing my cousin the pen that I was like “how do you even put this in?” It took me only a few minutes to figure out the tip unscrewed however the machining is so tight you can’t see the line! When it’s screwed on all the way it looks like one clean titanium tube! Incredible, definitely my favorite pen
